I saw someone mentioned The Moon and Antarctica. Great album, but The Lonesome Crowded West is Modest Mouse's best.
Some of my favorite albums of the past 3 or 4 years that I'm assuming no one on here is going to suggest - I'd also suggest checking out these bands other albums too...
Arcade Fire - Funeral Band of Horses - Everything All the Time The Black Keys - Thickfreakness Blitzen Trapper - Furr The Budos Band - Albums I and II Built To Spill - You In Reverse Calexico - A Feast of Wire Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career Cat Power - The Greatest Dan Auerbach(solo album from Black Key's guitarist) - Keep It Hid The Dead Weather - Horehound Dengue Fever - Venus on Earth The Dexateens - Lost and Found Dinosaur Jr - Farm Don Chambers and GOAT - Back In The Woods Dr Dog - Fate Drive By Truckers - Brighter Than Creations Dark Heartless Bastards - The Mountain Iron & Wine - The Shephards Dog LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver M Ward - Transistor Radio Magnolia Electric Company - Josephine My Morning Jacket - all of their albums - start with It Still Moves The National - Boxer Ratatat - Classics Ryan Adams - Cold Roses Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights Sigur Ros - Takk... Surprise Me Mr Davis - s/t Vic Chesnutt - About to Choke Ween - Quebec The Whigs - Mission Control The White Stripes - all of them...asap

Well, with what's been mentioned, I didn't think they'd make it on here. I celebrate their whole catalog though.
