I read where Coach Chiz heard mysteriously through the grape vine that neploean was planning a last minute visit and jumped on the Au jet.   Can anyone expand.

I heard his family wanted him at AU and that was what influenced his final  decision.

The best thing would be to look up an old thread about him.

I heard a lot of folks wanted him but we got him. That to me is all we need to know. Most anything else is pure speculation.

Shon Coleman ? Don’t believe everything you’ve heard. He was taking every single visit for a good reason. He was not sold on us and honestly probably still isn’t. He didn’t decide until midnight the day before signing day. Credit Jake Holland’s mom with the assist for this one. She made calls late to Coleman’s mom and Coleman’s mom basically told her son where he was going to go. Truth be told, he didn’t seem overly happy to be here… Its happened before, though. Some kids don’t fall in love with their school until they’ve been in the system a little while.

Yeah there really wasn't much to it. He said he was going to take his visits and he did. The only curveball  was that Alabama found out they were going to strike out on James Stone so they made an effort to flip Shon Coleman. Shon took his last two visits, went home and talked to the family and decided that Auburn was the place for him. He loved the opportunity available in 2011 and ultimately it was the deciding factor.
