I wish hime good luck. No sour grapes. We will sign someone equal to or better. This will be all but forgotten soon enough.
I agree. We shouldn't worry about what the others are doing. If we take care of our business then we will be alright. There are a lot of good players out there.

We don't need the son of an Alabama Alum to make us feel good. Auburn University will do just fine. I don't think Chizik and staff believed we was gonna get Woodson anyway. They was just ruffling the feathers of Saban and they will continue to do it with other prospects.
Jonathan Rose pick up two more offers this week from Georgia and So Miss to go with offers from Auburn, Alabama and Fl State. We need to work hard at keeping the Rose bloodlines in the AU Family.

Boy, Julio has really lit up the record books hasn't he? Good luck Woodson.
I think this says it all. If he wants to be at bama that is where he needs to go. My guess is there was some significant pressure to commit NOW even if he wanted to go to bama. Can you imagine the shot heard across the state if he were to commit to Auburn ? Another one turns their back on the hobbit ? I think bama needed this commit more than we did to try to create the "perception" that they are in control. I think this is the year that we need to take players from saban. We will lock horns more on D players and I want to see Chizk & Co show more progress here. I still do not know why we do not get some of the 5 star DBs given it is Chizik's specialty.
I agree. I would like to see us sign three or four really good DB's this year and maybe a couple 4-5 star DE's, DT's, LB's and Safeties.

Saban is offering kids before he would like to. He is out of his element for sure.He may have 28 commits before summer ,just to keep them away from us . .All that hoopla over a player we know we did not need.Let them take 15 receivers and well take the db's this year. Our coaches are in his head. Your getting sloppy Nick.

That is definitely the truth. They have only around 10 (maybe less) seniors currently on the team so they really can't have a big signing class....but we are talking about . If he signs the maximum allowed he may grayshirt about 18 or start cutting sophmores and juniors. Even in the current class, they are about 14 over the scholly limit. I know two seniors have already announced that they were not returning. This will eventually catch up to him. The 2011 signing class should be the class, if they had an ethical coach, where they only sign 14 or 15 kids.

He was just speeding up UATs decision and offer. He was making them (and us) think that he was really liking Auburn and may be leaning that way. His plan worked. He got an offer from wee man right after those comments. I agree with this. Don't want him at Auburn. We can do better.

i wish him the best at UA, would have been nice to have him just cause he comes from such good stock but a receiver does not break us this year. no higher than our needs are we can lose him. I dont think there is anything wrong with the kid picking alabama nor do i think he was using us, he is 17 years old he wants to play where his dad played and may have just made the statement to save face. its likely more about pride than anything else just like us all saying ahh we didnt want him anyways when not that long ago we were excited about him.

Pretty humorous to me that when he visited AU it was all good with many posters here, we wanted him and there were many posts saying how cool it would be to get his commitment. Now some people are actually trying to slam a 17 year old for making a solid pick for himself. I don't like the "take my ball and go home attitude" some of my AU brethen have when it comes to recruiting. The kid picked Bammer. SO WHAT! This isn't anything to get your panties in a wad about.

I personally don't know anything about the kid but I have heard he is a hell of a talent. If that is so, I would love to have him on the Plains. The only thing that makes me wonder is why a receiver would go to Bama with Saban's pro-style offense that doesn't showcase one of the most talented receivers in the country, much less a secondary receiver. My opinion is that is just not a smart move if football is his priority, if he is going there because he loves it there then good luck to him. All that said, I do agree that the sour milk attitude of he wasn't good enough anyway is crap. Talent is talent and we can use any that we can get.

I wish him the best. I would still like for him to be on the plains. I just think that his plan was to make wee man think he was leaning toward Auburn so he would get an offer from UAT. IMO, that is where he wanted to go all along. I think it is funny how he gets an offer from them and is told that if he didn't take it now he would lose it. So he takes it. That does not mean that his decision is final. All it means is he has an offer from UAT that they will stand behind as long as he does not show any interest in another school. If he changes his mind and CGC wants him I will welcome him.

This coaching staff will find kids that fit their mold. Good luck to D.WOODSON at UAT. There are plenty of players in the state and region who might wear au orange and blue. Unfortunately, DW is not one of them. WAR EAGLE, COACHES!!!

Satan probably told him that they moved Kendal Kelly to Safety so Woodson could come in and play as a freshman. Do you think it every crossed Woodson's mind to find out what promises were made to Kelly last year?
